The glow fest is here, this palette was a wish of many.. TheBalm made that wish a reality. It is always heard that these powders are phenomenal, but it can get a bit expensive trying them out (buying them all to see what works would cost around 300-400 SR) so this gives you a wide horizon to explore at a reasonable price (Which is around 170 SR). So instead of just picking up the coveted Mary-Lou to highlight, you get the chance to try out the less-talked-about sisters , Betty-Lou and Cindy-Lou.

هذا الباليت كان حلم كل وحدة تحب المكياج ، بسبب كثرة سماعنا لمدح الناس في اضاءات ذابالم . بس ما ودك تشترينهم كلهم عشان تعرفين وش يناسبك (زائد إنه بيكلفك كثير لو تشترينهم وحدة وحدة ، حوالي 300 ريال أو 400 ريال)  ، صح؟ هنا جابت ماركة ذابالم الحل لنا وحققت أمنيتنا. جمعت الاضاءات كلها في باليت واحد بسعر رائع (170 ريال ، ويختلف السعر باختلاف المكان إلي شريتي منه). فيصير بدال ما تختارين وحدة (وعلى الاغلب بنختار ماري لو) جاتك الفرصة تستكشفين وتجربين بيتي لو وسندي لو ، بما أنه ما يتكلمون عنهم بكثرة ماري لو.


Like all the TheBalm's palettes, it comes with a cute 50s/60s illustration of the girls in a slim, sturdy and  recyclable cardboard case.. try not to drop it regardless, I thankfully never did but I feel the powder might shatter if you do. I used "sturdy" for lack of a better word to say it protects the powders from external mess.The mirror that comes with the palette is a good size. They come with less than the full size, of course. Yet a nice amount comes in each pan, who ever finishes a highlight anyway? (This is coming from someone who is obsessed with them)

زي كل باليتات ، هذا تعليب الباليت كرتون نحيف ، قابل لإعادة التدوير و قوي مرسوم عليه البنات (ماري لو وأخواتها) مأخوذة من رسومات الستينات أو الخمسينات  .. بس حاولوا لا تطيحونه لأني ما أحس التعليب يحمي من إنها تنكسر لما تطيح ، بس يحميها بشكل عام لما تحطينها بشنطة مكياج أو غير ذلك. والمراية إلي تجي معه حجمها حلو. الكمية أقل من الكاملة (يعني لو شريتي المنتج لحاله كميته أكبر) بس الكمية في كل واحد مرة كويسة ، أصلًا مين يخلص إضاءة كاملة؟ (وهذا الكلام جاي من وحدة تعشق الإضاءات)

Now onto the actual product, since they are all the same formula I'll just talk about it in one paragraph.
This might be my favourite TheBalm product, along with the Bahama Mama bronzer. The powders are so soft, they feel silky to the touch. which makes them very blendable and easy to use. They provide a marvelous sheen , and that sheen is what brings a healthy feel to the face (which is everybody's favourite look, no?) They stay on for a long time and are nicely pigmented.

نجي على المنتج وتركيبته ، بما إنهم كلهم نفس التركيبة بتكلم عنهم في مقطع واحد.
هذا المنتج أقدر أقول إنه أحلى منتج من إلي جربته من ذا بالم ، جنب بهاما ماما (برونزر) طبعًا . البودرات ناعمين مثل الحرير لما تلمسينهم ، نعومتهم تخلي استعمالهم ودمجهم سهل. تعطي لمعة جميلة ، ما فيها جلتر بس لمعة. ولذلك تعطي الوجه منظر صحي ( وهذا المظهر هو إلي كلنا نحبه ، صح؟ ) يدوم وقت طويل + الألوان واضحة

Now we dissect... الحين نشرح

Mary-Lou Manizer:
Everyone's favourite , and my favourite. This can be manipulated from soft glow to I-can-see-this-from-outer-space glow. Wet your brush for the latter look (spray fix+ or rose water on it) . It is versatile. This works for fair to medium-light skin tones the best in my opinion

من مفضلات الشعب ، ومن مفضلاتي بعد. اللمعة ممكن تخلونها ناعمة أو تقوونها (وعشان تكون قوية بخوا فكس بلس أو موية ورد على الفرشة ) . الإضاءة عملية مرة وتنفع ، في رأيي ، للبشرات الفاتحة للمتوسطة (المتوسطة المايلة للفاتح)  .

Cindy-Lou Manizer: 
A totally underrated product. This is a subdued peach with a hint of pink luminous powder, I love this as a blush, it balances color and glow.. Which is what makes it marvelous. The color is not strong, but it gives a lovely flushed gleam to your skin. This best works for light skin tones.
If I were to compare this to Hot Mama..  Both are peach though Hot Mama is more golden , while Cindy-Lou is more pink.  Cindy-Lou has a stronger sheen and a softer color, Hot Mama does have a nice glow too but less and the color is stronger

منتج مستهان فيه ، لون مشمشي على وردي خافت مع لمعة، لمعته تورد البشرة . استخدمه كبلشر، حيث إني احسه يعطيني لون ولمعة بتوازن ، وهذا أحلى شي فيه . يطلع يجنن ! ينفع للبشرات الفاتحة أكثر شي.
لو بقارنه بهوت ماما ، كلهم فيهم مشمشي لكن هوت ماما يميل على ذهبي أما سندي لو يميل على وردي . سندي لو لمعته أقوى من هوت ماما ولونه أخفت ، هوت ماما لمعته حلوة ولونه أقوى

Betty-Lou Manizer:
I wouldn't have picked this up if it didn't come with the palette, it did intimidate me because I'm nowhere near the skin tone for this highlight. But I am so glad I got to try this! It is a bronze with golden reflect. It is a beautiful highlight for dark skin tone. Yet for lighter skin it is a shimmery bronzer. It could be a bronze shadow too (it works very well for that) .
This look wonderful paired with Mary-Lou , on the face or eyes.

ما كان شريتها لو ما جت في الباليت ، ما حسيتها بتناسبني ولا حتكون عملية لبشرتي ، بس الحمد لله جربتها. لونها برونزي بلمعة ذهبية . تكون إضاءة للبشرات الغامقة ، بس للبشرات الفاتحة تكون برونزر يلمع أو شادو برونز (على الجفن تطلع بطلة)
(هالإضاءة مع ماري لو ، على العين أو الوجه ، تطلع جميلة !

So if I were to pick one, it would definitely be Mary-Lou for its versatility. However decide what you want, and then you can pick which one would suit you.
Want a highlight ? Mary Lou
Want a flushed glow (basically a blushed Mary-Lou)? Cindy Lou
Want a glowing bronzer if you're lighter skinned or highlight if you're darker skinned? Betty Lou
But if the palette is still available , I'd highly recommend it over picking just one of them.

لو بختار وحدة بختار ماري لو ، لأنها أكثر وحدة عملية. بس لما تقررين وش تبين من المنتجات هذه ، تقدرين تقررين أي منهم هو إلي تبينه ويناسب احتياجاتك.
تبين إضاءة؟ ماري لو
تبين لمعة تورد بشرتك، ماري لو إذا كانت بلشر؟ سندي لو
تبين برونزر مضيء إذا بشرتك فاتحة أو إضاءة إذا كانت بشرتك غامقة؟ بيتي لو
بس لو كان الباليت لسا متوفر ، انصحكم فيه بدل ما تشترون وحدة. .
